County Equestrian Jewellers established for over 30 years
Jewellery to wear in the countryside
County Equestrian Jewellers was founded over 20 years ago by the late Robert Stead. Today the business is run by his son Chris Stead and his wife Christina.
Following on the family tradition of making equestrian jewellery, Chris applies the techniques that his father taught him as his apprentice.
Based near Chaddesley Corbett in Worcestershire, all of County Equestrian Jewellers pieces are individually hand finished and crafted using lost wax casting.
The lost wax casting method allows us to create a wide range of products with intricate detail. Originally Robert created most of the original models. Chris now utilises these models along with creating his own new designs. These models are then taken to be cast in precious metals. Chris uses his skills to transform the raw casting into a finished product by filing, chasing, fettling, soldering and polishing. Certain items are then sent to the Birmingham Assay Office to have our sponsors mark (previously named makers mark), hallmarked on the item.
All our pieces are individually hand-made and finished and are available in Sterling Silver, 9ct Gold, 18ct Gold, Rose Gold and White Gold. Some of our pieces also give you the option to customise by adding a precious stone (typically Diamond, Sapphire or Ruby), which really adds a personalised touch, especially if you're buying a gift for a loved one
