12th May 2013 - Badminton Horse Trials
We had an absolutely fabulous time last week exhibiting our jewellery at the 2013 Badminton Horse Trials. Thank you to everyone who visited us in the Heart of England Pavilion, we had a great time and were pleased to meet so many new customers and see many customers returning to add to their equestrian jewellery collections. We spent a couple of evenings in the Outside Chance Bar which we absolutely recommend, with stunning views across the cross country course and Badminton House it’s one not to miss if you’re visiting the trials.
‘Piece of the event’ had to be our small and large leg rings. These are so popular at the moment, and it’s easy to see why. Made of sterling silver (also available in gold) these horse leg rings are the perfect way to stylishly display your passion for horses and all things equestrian. For those of you with smaller fingers, the small horse leg ring is adjustable. One thing all our customers comment on both sizes of ring is the amazing level of detail – right down to the frog of the foot. These rings are sturdy enough to wear everyday, and have a stylish wrap around finish, it’s absolutely no wonder these were being snapped up all weekend.
We also had a lot of interest in our two tone jewellery at Badminton this year. Our two tone equestrian jewellery has elements of silver and brass, adding interest and variety but also making it really versatile to wear with other jewellery in your collection. For example, our two tone snaffle bit bracelet is sterling silver with brass loop ends.
We were delighted with the amount of interest shown in our new gunshot cartridge jewellery. For those of you who have not seen it yet, this range was inspired by our friends at Hicks and Hides, who have a fantastic range of belts, dog collars and leads featuring recycled shotgun or rifle brass casings. We currently have shotgun earrings, necklace and cufflinks in this range. They make fabulous gifts for any shooting enthusiast.
We’ll next be out and about at the CLA Game Fair, in the stunning location of Ragley Hall, 19th - 21st July 2013. We’ll be located in the Rural Craft Association Marquee, do come and say hello whilst seeing if you need a new piece of equestrian jewellery to add to your wardrobe.
16th April 2013 - First Point to Points of the Year!
I’m not sure whether it’s just me, but I can’t believe it’s mid April already – partly because the last few months seem to have flown by, but also because it’s still so cold! Never before have we attended our first point-to-point horse racing event of the year with snow still on the ground, but that is what we got when we took our trade stand to Upton point-to-point on Easter weekend. Luckily despite the cold, it was at least a sunny day, which is always helps brighten the spirits, and we’d like to say thank you to all our customers who braved the chill to come along to say hi. We were delighted with all the interest surrounding one of our newest bangles – the fox head and tail bangle, which was even more popular than we expected it to be. As with all our products it comes in either silver or gold and is completely handmade by us to our extremely high standards. Lots of customers were buying horse jewellery for themselves as usual, but we also found that a lot¬ of people were buying jewellery as gifts. Be it for your mum, daughter or husband; we like to think that we have a piece of equestrian jewellery to please everyone.
The weekend after we were at Paxford point-to-point in the beautiful Cotswold countryside where it seemed as though everyone wanted to buy a piece of equestrian jewellery! It really cheered us up on such a freezing cold day to see so many customers old and new. It also gave us a chance to show off our cufflink range, which we have extended over the winter. We were also pleased to see so much interest in our snaffle bit necklaces. As well as our standard hallmarked silver and gold, we also offer these in two tone (bronze ends with a silver middle piece). Not only is two tone jewellery really on trend right now, but also this gives you loads of versatility with what other jewellery you can wear it with. Our horse leg rings and stockpins also proved really popular.
